SHERIDAN COLLEGE, Department of Ceramics

Perhaps best known internationally for it’s animation graduates…Sheridan came to our attention through its glass, textile, furniture, and especially ceramics departments, where we often bought objects from student shows and then followed the artists as they developed. 

The most important part of the ceramics contribution to Sheridan over these past two years is a permanent, curated teaching cabinet whose content will periodically revolve among the more significant of the roughly 200 offerings.

Jacques' personal collection of ceramics books is now a key part of the studio, placed throughout the library. A plaque and biography honor his contributions, inspiring students and visitors.
